The Importance of Art

     Many children go through hard situations in their home life. Kids can come to school and get away from those situations. Art, theatre, and music are outlets children use to express themselves when they do not know how. Without art the world would be a boring place. Finding out who who are comes through a means of expression. The school board system is so focused on making every child turn out one way. They have to have A's in all their classes. They have to act a certain way in front of their teachers. There is more to a person than school. High school is supposed to be enjoyable. But without art forms, the school would be a very boring atmosphere. Tax dollars should be used for the funding of children's wellbeing not just what the school tell them to do. The world would be a violent place with no ways to express oneself. Music has become such a huge part of my life that I do not know what I would do without it. I am sure the case is the same for many others out there.
